: My neurolgist diagnose me wtih Chronic Fatigue about 2 years ago since then my primary doctor has added the diagnosis of Fibromyalgia. I think my family doctor has me on too many medications. I take 1 10mg of Ambien, 2 75mg of effexor, 2 750 mg of Methocarbamol. and 2 1gram of CarFate per day. I just changed doctors and I had just been on 2 75mg of effexor per day. I don't like taking the sleeping pill because of I am afraid of becoming dependent on it. Thanks in advance for any answers. I have been through the variety of tests also to rule out everything else. Since I do not know anything about your history I can not comment on the diagnosis you give. At CCF most Chronic fatique and Fibromyalgia is taken care of through Rheumatology. Certainly over medication or undermedication can become an issue with any medical problem. For a consultation you can call for an appointment with Dr. Wilke or one of the other Rheumatologists at 444 5632. This information is provided for general medical education purposes only. Please consult your physician
