The condition you are describing (although i do not have the benefit of a detailed report )sounds like cortical dysplasia. This is a developmental abnormality of the outer layer or gray matter of the brain, in which the nerve cells are not arranged in the usual anatomical layers, this may lead to thickening of the layer which is visible on MRI. This condition may be associated with abnormal control of the muscle leading to poor tone (hypotonia) or excess tone (spasticity ). There is also an association with learning problems and sometimes with seizures. There is no evidence that a special diet, vitamin supplementation are herbs have any role in the treatment of this condition. The reason for this is that the condition is now established and was not due to a dietary or vitamin deficiency in the first place.
