Subject: Re: Fibromyalgia and digestion
: I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, IBS, and occasional reflux, and I am taking Elavil and Bentyl. The treatment is not reducing any tender point pain, but the Bentyl does help with the IBS. However, there are many foods that make me feel ill. About and hour an a half after eating, I get a tremedous hot flash and feel like I am going to vomit or collapse. The hot flash lasts only about 3 minutes, and then I feel better. I know what a hot flash is as I have been going through early menopaus for about three years, and these recent hot flashes seem different. My question is this: have hot flashes ever been associated with digestion processes? Is there any relation between food alergy/intolerance and fibromyalgia? These are foods that create an anaphleptic (spelling) reaction - mouth itches and or can't breath: carrots, bananas, avocados, raw nuts (peanuts, pecans, almonds, walnuts), cooked nuts (pecan, almonds, walnuts), coconut. |
