Subject: Re: Arachnoid Cyst I have an arachnoid cyst ath the base of my skull on my right side. A surgeon has aspirated it once only to have it fill back up in a matter of a couple weeks. I had intense "motion" headaches after the aspiration. One surgeon said this was normal. The other claimed the cyst had developed to support the brain on that side. Either way I am at a loss for what to do. For about a year and seven months now I have been getting lightheaded. Also I have these spasm or tremors throughout my body especially after I exercise or drive for a long period of time. I have had almost every test imaginable and nothing has been found. I feel very hopeless. I saw my regular doctor today and she recommended I go back to the surgeon and have him reaspirate it as he installed some sort of tube so that he can do this in the office. I guess my biggest question is the following. Is it even possible for an arachnoid cyst in the lower right side of the head to cause these type of symptoms?? The symptoms again are lightheadedness, tremors or shaking of the muscles at night, symptoms worse with attempted exercise, also seem to affect the right side of my body more (ie right foot goes numb on occasion). The day all this happened I had a sharp pain right where he made the incision for surgery. I really thought this was the problem. I am incapacitated at this point in time and none of the doctors seem to care about anything but their money.I feel like now I'm not only fighting my illness but fighting the doctors as well. Anyone with any ideas please feel free to email me. Thankyou _ _ Hello Ron, Arachnoid cysts are congenital cysts (they arise during prenatal development) Whether your symptoms are related to the cysts are unclear and at the least Good luck.
