Question Title: Trazadone (Desyrel)Forum: Neurology Forum
| ||||
I am taking 100 mgs. of trazadone for sleep. However, I have the impression that it is producing muscle cramping in my arms and hands. Is this a common side effect and is it dangerous? = It is an unusual side effect. However, the PDR states that perhaps 5% of patients taking Desyrel (trazodone) experience some muscular aches and pains. Cramps per se are not listed in the side effects table. I would not expect this to be dangerous. However, if you experience weakness or if the symptom persists, I would have it checked out. As you know, this infromation is provided for your general medical education. Specific comments regarding diagnosis, prognosis, or treatment options must come from your doctor after appropriate evaluation. CCF MD mdf.
