Question Title: Back Pain & Popping along with other joints

Forum: Neurology Forum
Topic: Pain

Hi, I am an 18 yo female. I was wondering if any of my symptoms should be cause for me to go to a doctor and some possible reasons why this is happening. I have had this problem for a while now, at least 6 years ago. My joints pop and crack especially my back and neck: neck, shoulders, back, elbows, sternum, wrists, hips, left knee, ankles, and toes. The ones that get sore or ache sometimes and hurt when they pop are the sternum, hips, back, neck, and left knee. I tore my acl, mcl, and meniscus about 8 months ago in my right knee, 7 months ago i had acl recon and meniscus repair, and since then my knee hasn't clicked, gave-way, or caught (left knee still does) like it used to before the injury. Could you give me some info on what might be wrong if anything. I have been told i might have arthritis by a PT on-line, but i thought people with arthritis have a fever, i don't, actually my temperature is usually around 97.9, and after surgery it dropped to even 96.9. Thanks for any info.

Dear Angie,
Joint Popping does not represent a neurological problem. Although you are young, it could be consistent with arthritis (some juvenile forms exist).I recommend that you get an evaluation by your primary medical doctor. Also, temperature are not associated with arthritis. Good Luck.
