Question Title: add (tics)Forum: Neurology Forum
| ||||
doctor, thank you for your response to my questions on aug 26 concerning leg spasm with add. could you further explain about the tics. can this happen while a person is sleeping? = Tics per se do not occur in sleep. In some people, there are limb movements which do occur during sleep, which are a different phenomenon (periodic limb movements of sleep). That is related to restless legs syndrome. Although it could happen in a person with ADD, it would be a coincidence. Evaluation of sleep-related movements is usually done with a sleep specialist. We do have sleep specialists here at CCF neurology department. I hope this helps. CCF MD mdf.
