Question Title: AV Malformation

Forum: Neurology Forum
Topic: Neurology - General

I have a malformation in my right hip and leg. The veins in this area are quite large and have formed blood clots which have shot to my lungs on several occasions. The doctors at first suggested that no blood clots could have come from these veins and gone to my lungs as they are not deep veins. A dye test just prior to alcohol sclorosis showed that they did however lead directly back to the main system and the sclorosis was called off as I was on the table. I have had a Vena Cava filter put in and am on cumadin. Even with this I have recently begun having more difficulty breathing. I have seen Doctors at Mass General and New England Medical Center and have basically been sent home with a there is nothing more we can do attitude. I have had two different diagnosis from these places as well. Is there a specialist who you could recomend?
