Subject: Re: Citicholine in cerebral infarct What is the current recommendations on the use of citicholine in acute cerebral infarct? Is there any metanalysis favoring the beneficial effect of this drug? Thanks and more power to the Staff. = Thanks for the question. It is my understanding that this trial will be starting up again at the clinic very shortly. The patient stratification of the initial trial has caused a second trial to be done. It is proposed to be a neuroprotective drug given orally for 6 weeks. Strokes are within the first 24 hours and must be in the distribution of the middle cerebral artery. Patient age greater than 8 years. I'm sure there are a number of other specific criteria but that is the jist. No data to share at this time.
