Question Title: Meningioma & Pea**** System Treatment

Forum: Neurology Forum
Topic: Brain Tumor

My wife has a meinigioma triangulated between two arteries and her spinal cord near the base of her brain.

It is the regrowth from a tumor she had removed in 1983. Currently it is about 1 x 1.8 cm (capsule shaped).

I would like to know (1) if such a tumor could be treatable by the Pea**** system alone with a reasonable likelihood that it will not regrow; (2) what is the likelihood of damage to parts of her nervous system from the treatment; (3) whether CCF has the full complement of Pea**** equipment; and (4) what degree of discomfort is involved in stabilizing the patient for treatment with the Pea**** system.

Thanks,

JH

Thanks for the question. By your description I'm alittle confused as to the exact location of the lesion. We can treat with the Pea**** system from about C6 up. I think the best course of action would be to have the films set for review at CCF you can call 216 444 5574 (Dr. Suh) in radiation oncology for information on where to send the films. Good luck
