Subject: Need information on international patient admission programs Dear Sir or Madam, I have a Russian client whose son was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at the age of 2, but has bee undergoing treatment and taking classes at home to reach a current state of mental retardation. He is social, outgoing, but recently he started experiencing headaches and loss of strength and memory. He is 19 and his parents would like him to be admitted to a medical center or hospital where he could undergo rehabilitation or adaptation to become an active member of society, perhaps to learn certain simple tasks that would allow him to blend in. There are no such programs in Russia and mentally retarded children grow up outcasts and are considered unworthy members of society. This person's retardation is not that deep, so he could easily adapt to live as normal life as possible had he been allowed to.
