Foot problems

by deano, Dec 17, 2000 12:00AM
Playing Soccer and I get pain when kicking a ball across the top of my foot. I have a dropped arch but I feel my problem is related to something else, as it hurts across the top of my foot by the ancle - especially when I move. Any idea??

Thanks

Dear Dino:

It is difficult for me to tell.  It might be a combination of things like the shoe, or sensitive skin, etc.  I would see an orthopedic person and see if all is correct anatomically.  If everything is okay, then you just may need to toughen up the area by slowing increasing the intended use of the area.

Sincerely,
