You Think I sould? My Nuero, and The nurses their stated that Would be the wrong Thing to Do, Why Do You Think I Sould, He advised me they Could Really Screw Me Up. I Dont Know anything anymore, I hat to say this But this neuro pays Little/no Attn, and I Definetly will attempt to see another One. Let Me Know.

DO NOT SEE A CHIRO! I visited one for the first time 7 months ago for pain in my shoulder and neck. After about 6 visits, I experienced stroke like symptoms, ended up in the hosptial twice and had to go to a neuro who sent me for tests (cardio, carotid artery and head CT - all normal). I am still experiencing numbness and tingling sensations all over my body. My GP thinks it was from the chiro manipulation of my neck and spine and I am scheduled to see an ortho. doctor. I know some people have experienced success with it but my personal opinion is, DON'T GO!

Thanks for the advise, That It was I Heard about chiro aswell, But My ex-girlfriend works with a chiro and she says that patients say nothing But The Best I Still Think, however that Chiro may be out of the questions, But I am still open for anything and cant close out any options at this Point.

P.S. have you had an MRI done, That Is a very Good Test and very sensitive get it if you can with contrast, all the nuero on this forum suggest it. (i AM NOT A DOCTOR)

I haven't been for an MRI yet. The waiting list is incredibly long. I am going to wait until I see the ortho. doctor and see what he says. Maybe scans of the cervical area may be all that I need. I want to rule out any spinal issues before heading back to the neuro for more tests. Good luck to you!

I agree with some of the points above however, I definitely was one person who had side effects from the chiro. It doesn't hurt to go see one and talk with them however I would really give it some good thought before actually going through with the treatments. I wish I had as I was skeptical before doing it in the first place. I am more of a believer in alternative therapies as oppposed to medications however the thought of having someone manipulate my neck again makes me shudder!

This feedback has been beneficial, From all perspectives it helps one begin to understand all angles. The problem is, in my opinion, simply put is not the question of chiro or doctors or pychologists, the question is finding one who is qualified, then screening those for the one who actually care to help. That Is where the problem lies, You can find someone with all the degreess and the knowledge and experience, but treat there job like an assembly line mentality, and pay little or no attention To knowing what Is going on. Instead of truly finding out what is going on, there arrogance gives them Power trips making clinical diagnosis w/o the taking the time and effeort to put all the can to support their so called "clinical Diagnosis" the end result is frustration. Some, Not all, doctors carry large amounts of arrogance, maybe that is attributed to the number of years they have been working, and find that throughout the years they feel less and less levels of fullfilment, or never felt it at all. I Praise those doc Chiro or dp or neuro, (whatever) that take the time and CARE to help, I am disgusted by arrogant assembly line docotrs, This is just my opinion, It does not prove or disprove anything. Thank You all.
