White spot on tounge?

by Siggy00, Mar 01, 2002 12:00AM
Hello.  I noticed what seem to be like teeth marks on my tounge (on one side)?  Also on the same side it seems to be just a spot that is swollen with a white color.  Anything I should be worried about?

Teeth marks can occur when you bite down too hard or grind your teeth. Spot on your tongue could represent an infection such as thrush or herpes. Have a primary care doc look at it. You mentioned an HIV in your last post which should also be looked at. GOod luck.
