Brachial Neuritis

by kdmd, Mar 19, 2004 12:00AM
I have Parsonnage turner syndrome/brachial neuritis. I am currently doing physical therapy but no other treatment.  I am unaware of any effective treatments and as I understand the process, most cases generally improve with time.   I originally had the severe shoulder pain in november and have not had any improvement in my strength since then.  I have significant weakness and atrophy of my right supraspinatus, intraspinatus, deltoid, serratus anterior and sensory changes on my arm.  Are there any treatments available for brachial neuritis?  Thank you.

It may take 1-2 years for recovery from this disease. There has been no evidence of any particular treatment for Parsonage Turner syndrome. The important thing is to ensure that the diagnosis is correct, and that you continue with physical therapy. Good luck.
