If anyone out there can share in my experience I would appreciate helpful replys.
I was diagnosed recently by accident. I'm a 39 yo mom of a 2 yo boy & a 17 yo girl.
I have a history of skull fracture ( 14 months old -front lobe dented)& had a subdural hematoma drained.
12 Years ago I fell & injured myself while building my home.Recently I built another home & experienced pain & muscle spasms (neck,shoulders, mid left back & buttocks). I was seeing a chiropractor for the pain this past summer & it helped.
He sent me for X rays & an MRI to see what was going on. The 1st MRI showed something near my brain stem warranting another MRI with contrast. Lipomatous lesion & meningioma were mentioned in addition to recent subacute hemorrage( never had any evident symptoms except dizzy upon waking a few times).
I have seen a specialist that doesn't seem worried. She only requested that I get my old CT scan (from my old doctors who never told me) just to make sure it hasn't grown since 2000.I'm ready to make my follow up with her.
My concern is the location & growth factor.The doctors who ordered the tests seemed very alarmed & amazed.

Without reviewing the films I am not able to comment on them. If you have a meningioma these are common masses in the brain and typically grow very slowly, and are typically only removed if they are causing symptoms. Regarding the hemorrhage, was this in the area of your previous injury, or located in a serparate area. If this was in the area of the previous injury, this may simply reflect changes from the injury. I assume the specialist reviewed the films. If they have not it would be reasonable to have a second person review them. Good luck.
