Inner Thigh Pain/Weakness/Bruises

by NickyIsHere123, Apr 14, 2006 12:00AM
Hi, I was wondering if I could get some answers here. Here are my symptoms, and I can't help but feel worried.

A week ago I noticed that is was hard to walk. My upper inner thigh is sore to the touch and even has bruises on it. If you were to put your finger on each hip and run it all the way down to the inner thigh area, that is where the bruises are located at. They appear to be in the shape of a line. Sometimes the lower buttocks aches. When I touch there is hurts. Also, I have had some problems with muscle twitching and aches in arms, legs, well, everywhere near about. Can you help me?

Here is some of my history:

I do not smoke, 31 years-old, female, have had one child, and do not exercise. I weigh about 170 ( too much) and am 5'3". Feeling like I am toting baskets of lead around...

Anyway, in addition to this info., I have a fairly physically laid back job (librarian).

Health Problems:

Stomach:

I have had a bout of stomach problems that are now gone. At the time, they were awful and the situation led to numerous tests. My gallbladder (HIDE) was tested and confirmed functioning at 17%. However, I did not have it removed as suggested, but my stomach has been fine.

Head:

TMJ: Had a bad bout of this, but after taking some antibiotics and motrin, it is now fine. I have suffered from anxiety in the past ( fine now) and have always had a sinus issue.

Female Area:

Clotty cycles

I hope this info will help.

I cannot give you a clinical diagnosis over the internet as this website is purely educational, so if you have not seen your familty physician about this, I would do so

The most likely explanation might be comporession in this area from either tight fitting clothes or positional? There are lymph nodes in this area also that can become inflamed in a 'line' but usually assocated with a red rash.

Muscle twitching in teh absence of muscle weakness and wasting is likely to be benign. Benign twitches are also more likely to be widespread.

Probably the best thing you can do for your health at this point is do increase your physical activity and lose weight - you may come across more severe weight related medical problems in the future.

Good luck

Okay, sorry about spelling and gramer, I am not good at either.  But I have had the same thing with my cycles and come to find out it was ANDRMETROS, OR THINing OF THE INTER WALLS.  I am not a Docotr or clam to know much. This is just what I have been though.

And as far as your legs parts, have they checked you for Lukemea, it's a canser. I only know of this because a freind of mine had the same thing happing to her.  I am not saying that is what you have but at lest if they check for it and thats not it you will feel better.

Thanks for the insight, but I really don't appreciate you going to worst case scenerio. I already said "I am worried"

The combination of muscle problems, bruising, buttock and leg pain, TMJ sounds familiar.  You should consider the possibility of Lyme Disease.

Hey there!  I felt like I was reading my own health description.  I have inner thigh soreness, sinus issues, panic disorder (so I can imagine why you didn't like some of those who responded mentioning cancer), jaw aches and pains, AND gallbladder ultrasound done myself.  Very frustrating.  I'm anxious to hear how your appointment went.  I've been to regular MDs and have had no help, so I'm currently going to a naturopathic doctor who has started me on detoxing.  I go for a check up and have more questions for her next week.  I'll let you know how that goes as well.  Hope to hear back from you, Nicky!
