The problem can sometimes be due to needing glasses--at least for night driving. Sometimes anti-reflective coating on the glasses will help the problem.
If this troubles you and doesn't go away you need to discuss it with your Ophthalmologist (EyeMD).

im still getting floaters when will they dissapear
if you look at a light source and you see flares of light thats starbursting
remember when you were a child and you would draw a sun and then you would put lines around it to pretend its the rays of the sun:thats startbursting
if you go out at night and see the car lights and you see fine lines of light comming of the headlights thats starbursting
if you have it like me its not a nice thing i do get depressed about it at times,i thought great ill have my cataract operation and it will be fine again,i can enjoy myself and drive at night, but that was not the case
i thought the same when i had YAG treatment but once again its not the case
Have you ever been reading or doing some small bit of handwork and can't see everything, i.e. like a series of letters missing or what you are working on is blurred over.?
I wear two pair of sunglasses on bright sunny days ... any glowing source of light like the computer monitor (with a glare guard), TV, light coloured lamp shades, gray skies are very irritating and cause eye/temple discomfort/aching pain.... the pain/discomfort ranges from moderate ongoing to a sharp stabbing pain if my eye is exposed to light at just the right angle. Eyes often burn if they are not protected properly during the day.
Like you ,I can no longer drive at night. That loss of independence is depressing. Worse yet, I have not been able to return to my job.
I really feel for you and hope to hear more from you ..... because there doesn't seem to be very many of us with this somewhat disabling condition and reading your posting makes me feel less alone ... and thanks for that.
its so bad going outside during the day is bad enough because its so bright, its not improved one bit,i get the starbursting during the day it comes of any light source,so being the summer im getting it everywhere
at night time even when at home with the lights on its just the same,i still cant drive at night, when i had the YAG treatment the doctor said all the light issuse will go,but its not done anything well maybe i tell a lie, having the YAG it seems to make the startbursting much cleaner brighter
my left eye still feels like there is a film over it to me its getting worse so im going to give it a couple of weeks then im going to phone up to see a doc
im 30 now i cant go on like this its driving me wild, maybe there is something else thats going on with my eye
i know what the doctor will say its nice and clear but ill will ask could there be something else that could be wrong with my eye
ive been told to ask the doctor about astigmatism
