: I am a 50 year old man in good health however I do have an almost constant aching feeling in my left testicle. I starting wearing jockey shorts in hope that the extra support would be of help which they have not. What could possiably be causing this feeling and should I have any major concern about the ache?

Thanks Steve for your question.
The cause of your pain could be as simple as dilated veins around the testicle ( called a varicocele , which are more common on the left than the right) or as ominous as a testicular tumor. This needs to be at least checked out by a physical exam from your family doctor if not a Urologist soon. Other causes should be ruled out also like infection, a benign cyst or hernia. There is no way to be sure without an exam.
Sorry I could not be of more help.
