I have been experiencing some irritation in my bladder for 3 months. I feel a burning and pressure sensation in the bladder and urethra area and have to empty the bladder quite frequently. I have had urinary tract infections before and this is not as unbearable and I wasn't sexually active when got the sympthoms. However, I feel that it started when I was exposed to a cooler weather for a day. My culture is negative and I have taken penicilin for a week.(I am trying to conceive now despite my problems with inflammed cervix and leeping conisation 4 months ago). Could my sympthoms be due to a mlignancy since the culture was negative? I have a laparascopy schedualed for a suspected endometriosis in 2 months. Can a gynecologist look into the bladder or should a separate test be sone by a urologist. The waiting time to see an urologist is quite long where I leave and I just can't wait. Please help me choose the right way. Any answer is deeply appreciated

Irritative voiding symptoms include urinary urgency (hurrying to get to the bathroom), urinary frequency, dysuria (burning with urination), and nocturia (voiding during the night. Infection, bladder tumors, and enlarged prostates are among possible causes of irritative symptoms. Young people have bladder tumors much more rarely than older people. Blood in the urine in the absence of infection is worrisome for tumors.
If unexplained irritative symptoms exist, then a urine cytology (looking for cancer cells in the urine), and cystoscopy (visual inspection of the bladder lining with a special scope) should be part of the urologic evaluation.
