Hi, I'm a 19 year old male. Ever since I was 15 Iv had a little bump on my penis (on the skin). It looked kind of like a pimple. It didn't hurt unless I picked at it or pocked it. One day I was looking at it, and I desided to get rid of it. I noticed there was a little whole on the side of the bump. ?So I got something and cleaned it out. A little bit of black stuff came out. And then it went away. Now it's just a white scare. But now I have 2 more, but their very tiny. What is this? Should I worrie?

Dear Tim,
As you can imagine, it is very difficult to make a visual diagnosis when I don’t have a chance to evaluate the lesion or obtain cultures. I don’t want to make any suggestions because I would be guessing. I can tell you is that it doesn’t sound like cancer, because it goes away and then returns. Also , you would be very young to have a cancer form. I think that if you are concerned, you should see your family doctor. He or she can evaluate the lesion, get an appropriate history and make a referral if necessary.
