pain in testicle

For several years I have had a red patch visible on the tip of my penis, I have had STD blood tests and all was negative. Also maybe once or twice a year, normally after intercourse, the end of my penis , around the ridge becomes ulcerated, which takes roughly two weeks to heal. My docter says I should be circumsised, as I am now 50 years of age, I do not want this. About ten months ago I started having back pains, I had a scan and the doctor said it was wear and tear and I had to live with it. Recently about 3 weeks ago I started getting pains in my left leg, just below the hip, especially when I lay on it in bed. This has now moved to my right leg also, at the same time I have a dull ache in my scrotum and lower stomach. My doctor checked both my scrotum and legs and says everything is fine, however I am not convinced. My wife has also noticed a slight curving at the tip of my penis, when erect.

There are several considerations.  The redness at the tip of the penis could be balanitis (inflammation that is more prone in uncircumcized penises), as well as other infections such as herpes or chancroid.

A GU source of the pain can be due to prostatitis which can cause the discomfort you are describing.  A digital rectal exam and possible transrectal ultrasound can be considered for further evaluation.

The dull ache in the scrotum can be due to any number of scrotal masses (i.e. cancer or a cyst), as well as an infection.  The test to consider would be a scrotal ultrasound for further evaluation.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
