Urethra Itching and irritation when urinating.

I have several STD questions, please answer it one at time. I try to give you as much as information as I can. Thank you for taking time to answer them.

I am a 45 years of old male. About 25 years ago, I had an unprotected sex with a prostitute. After having the intercourse, I discovered that my sperms no longer milk-like, it has become milk-like with yellowish everytime I ejaculate by masterbation. I also realized that some blisters appears in my month since. The blisters come and go. It comes when I am under stress or eat certain type of food.

In 1977 I donated blood and discovered that I have been infected hepatitis C. As the time goes by, everything has been as normal as life goes by.

Two weeks ago. I had an unprotected sex first time with my partner, other times protected. About a week later, I have had a symtom of urethra itching when urinating. I did not have a fever or any rash or blisters on my penis or areas of surround it. Everything is as normal except the itching and a little of irritating when urinating.

I am not on any medication.

My first question is: Why do I have the yellowish sperms ?

Second, having an urethra itching and irritation might be a symtom of urethritis ?

Third, I am going to see a doctor next week, what kind of STD test should I test for?

Thanks.

To answer your questions:

1) A variety of infections can lead to a discoloration of sperm.  You can obtain a semen analysis to evaluate for any white cells which may be indicative of infection.

2 and 3) Yes, urethral itching and irritation can certainly be a sign of urethritis.  Diseases like gonorrhea or chlamydia would be the first thing to test for.  I would also test for HIV and syphillis.  The first two diseases can be tested via a urethral swab.  The last two tested through the blood.  If the symptoms don't improve after a course of antibiotics, a urology referral for further evaluation is suggested.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
