Need Help

by Phoenix40, Aug 29, 2004 12:00AM
Hello,

I am a 19yr old male. My problem is that 3yrs ago I was masturbating quite vigorously and damaged a vein on the topside of my penis right beneath the head. I consulted a family physician and he told me to leave it alone and if the problem didn't go away come back. I stopped any form of sexual activity and it went away. I didn't really start back with any sexual activity for a few months. I noticed if I did the hardened vein would reappear. Then one sexual experience with a girlfriend I ejaculated prematurely and that was very strange for me because I usually lasted 30min to an hours at a time even when masturbating. I just thought it was a one time thing but it kept happening in masturbation too. I noticed that there started to be a bend in my penis and a lot of sensitivity when i moved my penis to the right. I started noticing that when I am very excited around a woman that i get a clear discharge but now when masturbating. This problem has persisted sense that time frame. I notice that if I am receiving oral sex that i am able to last hrs on in because there is not much stimulation of the area of the injury. It came to be where the vein was hardened back full time and I consulted the doctor because of the discomfort during masturbation or sex. I had surgery to remove the hardened vein. Yet the increased sensitivity still remains and I still suffer from the premature ejaculation when the head of my penis is stimulated. I am able to last long when receiving oral sex. I am worried that i caused damage that has caused this problem and I would like to know if there is anything i can do about it. thank you in advance

There are two considerations that you have described.  One is the hardened vein that you had surgery on.  One possibility for this would be Mondor's disease, or thrombophlebitis of the penile veins.  Normally, this does resolve with anti-inflammatories, but in some cases (such as yours) surgery may be needed.  It may be possible that the surgery may have irritate some of the nerves in the area.

Another consideration would be Peyronie's disease.  This is caused by a plaque that often leads to a bend in the penis.  Possibilities for treatment would include medications (i.e. calcium channel blockers) as well as steroid injections.  If the symptoms continue, then surgery may be needed.

You may want to discuss these options with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
