Testicles problem

I am 32 and an avid runner. I experienced some ache in my testicles (cant tell if its both or one) and reported it to my doctor at the time 8 months ago. He examined them with his hands and determined that the problem was in my head, or came as a result of running, as he found no abnormalities.
I also have a change in my urine habits..more urgency and frequency. I have to get up 2 times a night on average to urinate...Once I urinate, I am able to return to sleep..but not until I urinate.
I went to my doctor today, as the on and off ache still exists, and he examined my testicles and said they seemed pretty normal. I am having an ultrasound on them and a bladder ultrasound.
The problem is, I also have a back pain, that my doctor said is unrelated to my testicle problem, but the shooting back pains make it hard to tell if the back or the testicles are responsible. Maybe something underneath the scotum, inside of me, like tendons, ligaments?
I will have to wait over 3 weeks to have the tests and then another week for results...the suspense is killing me. I just want to know if it sounds like I have TC, eventhough I have no lump on the surface? What else would I be experiencing/feeling if I had Testicular cancer? No history of it, but there is too much conflicting info on the net about it.
I would appreciate your help.

The scrotal ultrasound is a reasonable test to do. If there is concern about testicular cancer, this test should put your fears to rest. I cannot comment on the possibilities of cancer without examination.
If the scrotum has been thoroughly evaluated, you can consider the prostate - since this can also lead to back pain. A digital rectal exam to check for tenderness, as well as sending out any prostatic fluid, should be considered.
Imaging the prostate with a transrectal ultrasound would be another consideration if the symptoms continue.
You can discuss these options with your personal physician or in conjunction with a urology referral.
Followup with your personal physician is essential.
