STD

by horns800, Jun 12, 2005 12:00AM
I recently have been worried about soars around my butt. They are not open or bleeding. But they are a little tender.About two weeks ago I was with a girl. No intercoarse occurred but oral sex did happen. These soars itch and only bother me when I start to scratch them. I dont know if they are genital herpies.( i hope not!) But the thing is that I dont know if they are chiggers(little bugs) from when I was in high grass. The girl I was with is my age, and we are both in the high teens. I dont think that she has been with many other boys. I am so worried right now. This was the only girl that i have gone that far with so it has to be this one or just a false alarm. Please give me some advise!! The soars are not big bumps but red. They only bother me when I bother them. That is kinda wierd. I am not sure if herpies or some other std could show signs so fast. There is no discharge in the penis. Just the itching. I am praying that it isnt a std. I havent seen a doctor yet because I am not sure. What kind of non prescription medicine could be used to see if these soars will go away. Just to see if it is a std or just bug bites. I appricate every post. And no I am not sexually active. Thank you.

Tough to diagnose without seeing the lesions.  It is possible that it could be an infection, or it can be an allergic reaction.

I would have these seen by your personal physician - or be referred to a dermatologist.

If you are worried about herpes, some samples can be sent off via a swab, or blood tests be done to look for herpes antibodies.

STDs like gonorrhea and chlamydia can be evaluated for via a urine sample or urethral swab.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
