rash

by Spiderhoss04, Jun 28, 2005 12:00AM
The other morning i woke up and my testicles were itching like crazy and were very red, then both sides of my thighs around my testicles became iritated and have little red bumps that look like pimples but no white heads or anything. I read other posts and saw they were diagnosed as a rash, so i figured i have it too. so i went out and bought cortizone cream. Its only been the third day using it but there is no progress minus the redness is a little less and the itching isnt bad.  I only have had one sexual partner and we use protection, so i dont think its an STD or anything. Is there anything else i can do? What do you suggest? Or should i just be more patient and stop worrying?

Difficult to say without evaluation.  The groin area is quite moist and is an ideal area for a fungal infection.

If that is the case, it would be unlikely that cortisone cream will help.

I would have it seen by a physician.  If the diagnosis is indeed a fungal infection, various antifungal creams or powders can be tried for treatment.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
