Harden of right Testicle

by Joe Santo, Jul 25, 2005 12:00AM
About 2 months ago I notice that about 1/3 of my right testicle was harder than usual. I could not locate the area again for about a month when I noticed it again. I have no pain or reconizable swelling, discharge is normal as well. It does not seem like the hardness is spreading either. I am going to my primary physician but what could this be? Seriousness? and likely treatment.

Thank you!!!!

Difficult to say without examination.  Epididymitis, a cyst or testicular cancer can all be possible.

I would consider a urinalysis to evaluate for infection as well as obtaining a scrotal ultrasound.  The ultrasound can evaluate for the possibilities listed above.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician or urologist.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
