Prostatitis??? What should I do now?

I originally posted this question on the STD forum, but was told that "YOU DO NOT HAVE AN STD" so I am hoping Dr. HHH is correct and asking for Urulogic advice from this point forward.
I recently made a horible mistake on a business trip. I am 32, married with a six month old son and very happy, but had unprotected vaginal intercoarse with a coworker while heavily intoxicated. I have regreted it deaply and have had great anxiety. Roughly three days after the event I started having a tickle in my pickle. I went straight to the Dr. and he checked me for ghonorea and clymedia (Urethral swab). He treated me with Zithromax- five pills at one time. Called in a couple of days- test were negative. Tickle gone. Next week I developed a mild fever (never over 100) and became very very tired, with swollen glands in neck and random night sweats (3 times over two weeks). The tickle also returned. I went back to the Dr. and they said it was prostitis? They gave a 28 days of Cipro. Meantime, I called the other person and she freaked, she is also committed in 8 year marriage and said she had never cheated and did not sleep around before marriage. She went to her Dr. and asked to be tested for EVERYTHING. She said that Clymidia, Ghonerea, HIV, PID, Hept ABC- all negative. I took the Cipro for two or three days, then had swelling (epiditimitis) behind the testicles. The Dr. told me lay off the Cipro and gave me another 4 pills at once Metronidazole and then erythromizin for a week. I only took the erythromizin for a day and half, it made me real sick to my stomach. Also started having to pee alot, could not seem to empty bladder, and had weak urine stream. Switched back to the Cipro after two days on erythromizin. Symptoms seemed to go away quickly after 2 days back on Cipro, except swelling above testicles, but pain there was gone. After 21 days on Cipro- still feeling sick and very tired, no appetite and depressed. Had blood work done, 4.5 weeks after incident occurred tested for HIV, Hept. a/b/c- all negative. The test did show increased liver enzymes and was taken off the Cipro. Now not on treatment of any kind. Still have slight swelling above testicles, which seems to increase with long periods on feet, but no pain as in the begining. I am terrified of passing something along to my wife, but Dr. says that everything is negative and even if it wasn't we have treated it, with the exception of HIV and since she tested neg and I tested neg, very unlikely from a single incident. Also reasured on the STD forum of medhelp that this is not an STD or if it was was treated. Was never given a prostate exam though and feel very unsure that I was diagnosed properly. I have read on the net that prostitis along with epiditimis is almost always caused by STD in someone my age??? I have been off the Cipro now for five days and the original symptoms seem to be returning; tingle at tip of penis, increased urination Need advise on what I should do now? Help?

With the testing you have had, an STD would be unlikely.
If the symptoms are continuing despite all the antibiotics you have taken, I would certainly evaluate the prostate and epididymis for infection.
You can consider a digital rectal exam to evaluate the prostate. Further testing can be done with a transrectal ultrasound.
Epididymitis can be evaluated via a scrotal ultrasound, as well as the urinalysis that you have had.
I would discuss these options with your urologist or personal physician.
Followup with your personal physician is essential.
