hello i am a 28 year old sexually active male who just recently started having unprotected sex with my girlfriend.   just recently i have noticed a white spot on tip of penis(to the left of the pee hole) and around the pee hole is a red discoloration.  my penis right now has a buring sensation and i seem to have to go pee after everything i drink.   my girlfriend has been tested and has no std's to speak off.  i recently have been battling a fatigue problem and cant hold anything in both liquid or solid.   should i be going to emergency room?   is this an std?  please direct me somewhere?  i have no family physician.

STDs and other infections should be considered and ruled out.

This can be done with a urethral swab or urine test, looking for gonorrhea or chlamydia.  I would also consider a urinalysis as well as a rectal exam to evaluate the prostate.

Herpes, syphilis as well as chancroid can also be considered.  A swab of the lesion and sending the specimen out for appropriate testing can help in narrowing down the diagnosis.

I would discuss these options with your personal physician.  I cannot make specific recommendations as to whether you should be going to the emergency room over the internet.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
