thickening of the inner walls of foreskin uncircumcized penis

I have recently been experiencing a problem that started out as a white dry, psoriosis like formation around the tip of my uncircumsized penis.  I do have psoriosis on other areas of my body.  I was initially able to clean the white substance while bathing but at some point the inner part of the foreskin became thick so I cannot pull my foreskin back to expose the head of my penis.  The foreskin has closed over the head of my penis and I can no longer clean the head of the penis.  I am able to urinate without problems but sometimes the head of the penis is itchy.I should add that prior to this - I had a dry patch on my testicles that I could scratch and little white flakes would fall off - the skin also thickened in that area.  Although that condition would come and go - it is not currently occurring.  A couple of years ago I was prescribed an ointment by Taro Pharmacueticals which would temporarily clear it up as well as the other psoriosis areas on my body.

This has been going on for approximately 2 months, the foreskin has been over the head of my penis for approximately 1 month.  I am a 43 year old Asian male - uncircumsized.  I have been diagnosed with Psoriosis - could this be Psoriosis on my penis?   Is it safe to be circumcized at this age?

Thank you for your assistance - your efforts are greatly appreciated.

It is possible.  The possibility with complications from circumcision would increase with age - and this can be discussed with a urologist.

Another consideation would be balanitis.  Treatment with a fungal cream can be considered if this is the case.

If the diagnosis is psoriasis, then a steroid cream can be considered.

I would discuss these options with a urologist and dermatologist.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
