Vasectomy Reversal

by ashes62002, Mar 16, 2006 12:00AM
My husband had a vasectomy done after his second child with his first wife about 7 years ago. We are wanting to have kids together of our own and are exploring the option of having a reversal done which we have found costs anywhere between $5k-$20k. Are there any other options besides the reversal? And if there are, what are the costs involved?

Unfortunately, I am not aware of any other options other than reveral.

The success rate of the reversal procedure depends on the length of time between the vasectomy and reversal.  The pregnancy rate based on a successful reversal is about 50 percent.

You can discuss other options with your urologist - or in conjunction with another opinion.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
