Penis Lymphocele

by shf123, Nov 11, 2006 12:00AM
I have had, what shows all the signs of, a penis lymphocele for just over a week now. I tried applying pressure but it always returned. It is less noticeable when hard and then reappears. How long can these take to dissappear and is there anything I can do in the meantime to help it subside? Should I still be able to have sex or can that still make things worse?

Imaging the penis (i.e. with an ultrasound) can be considered to ensure there isn't anything else going on.  The time course of a lymphocele can vary depending on the patient as well as the extent of the abnormality.

Normally, conservative treatment is recommended.  Sex is generally not advised as this may aggravate the condition.  I would however, discuss this with a urologist.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
