Can I have children?

by maxi007, Mar 27, 2007 12:00AM
Dear Sir or Madam,

I would be extremely grateful if you could answer my worries.

I am a 28 year-old male. Unfortunately being quite irresponsible  5 years ago I was using some pro-hormones while exercising in the gym.

I used andro and norandro prohormones + 1AD prohormone in small dosages for 2 cycles (4 weeks each with 4 week break. I bought them over internet and did not suffer any side effects).

Currently I am planning to father a child with my wife and I am terrified that having taken pro-hormones can result in some birth defects in my current or future children.

Is there an increased risk of that for my children or would those substances get rid of my body after a couple of years? Back then those substances were legal in the US however I know they have been banned recently.

I really appreciate your reply. Thanks a lot.

Max

It is difficult to say for sure.

I am not aware of specific risks of birth defects due to pro-hormones, but that cannot exclude the possibility.  Also, obtaining the drugs over the internet introduces the fact that other substances can come into play.

Most cases of the hormones should not be in the body after several years.

Obtaining hormone levels and an endocrine evaluation can be considered to determine if there are any abnormal levels.
