HI,

The condition of my baby as follow:

- Right test is descended.
- Left one is not; its location is confirmed by doctor.
- Severe Hypospadias: The opening of urethra is at the bottom of the penis.
- Severe Chordee.
- Very Small scrotum, almost not there by visual.

Questions :

- Hermons therapy: Is it advisable use to enlarge the scrotum?
- What are the side effects of using Hormones, other than the visual ones, hair …etc.
- What are the health disadvantages to my son in having small scrotum, Will the scrotum develops later after descending of testicals?
- Regardless of psychological effect, what is the right time to perform the surgical treatment for Hypospadias, how important the penis size for the success of the operation?.
- If the operation is done at early age, where the boy still using nappies, will it increase the infection and complications post operation ?
- Whom is more specialized to do these operation, Pediatric sergeant, or Urology sergeant :
1) Descending testis.
2) Treatment of Hypospadias.

Please, I am in need for your feedback ASAP,

I am not a pediatric urologist and this question is beyond the scope of my knowledge.  I will inform the staff at Med Help to determine if one of the other staff members can answer the question.

Thanks,
Kevin, M.D.
