I appreciate that this video acknowledges that Lyme can be contracted even in rural locations. However, in the end it stresses prevention as key. With Lyme being reported in more diverse locations, and with patients not remembering the tick bite or show

Prevention would require either [1] a vaccine (tried and failed once, and given the complexity of Bb, a daunting task) or [2] deforesting and paving over the U.S. and eradicating all wildlife carriers. Therefore early detection and effective treatment appears the best option.
