If I had kids, they would get all the vaccinations. Now that there are more kids running around without vaccinations, my kids would need the extra protection from them.

My kids have had all the state mandated vaccines -- whooping cough was back & in our community approximately  3-4  yrs ago.  It really does hit home when your Pediatrician and a video like this explains why.  And when your child is asthmatic, immunosupressed or young,  to be exposed to something like whooping cough can be deadly .. it's scary.

My son got the whooping cough vaccine and lo and behold got whooping cough for 8 weeks straight!! He was only 5 months and it didn't go away until he turned 7 months. It was a nightmare to say the least. I barely got any sleep because he used to turn blue and couldn't breathe from coughing so much...basically I'm skeptical when it comes to that vaccine. It was suppose to protect him....I am thinking twice before making any decisions with my next baby.

What I find confusing is that some children get 23 vaccinations before they are 2 years old and yet illnesses such as ALS, autism, ADD, ADHD and autoimmune diseases are on the rise. Clearly... there is something very wrong here.

The problem with me and many CFS patients is that we simply cannot tolerate vaccinations. I can't. This was one of my first questions that I asked Prof. Garth Nicolson, a MedHelp physician familiar with CFS and vaccinations, when he was here last October.

Of course I support vaccinations for children. But in addition, I would like to add that I support safer vaccinations and feel that informed consent must be instituted for all vaccinations. If I were a parent, I would consider spreading out my childrens vaccinations and do it the way that some physicians recommend. The nurses I worked with even agreed.... giving a baby all of these vaccinations when their immune system is still developing is and can be a problem.

As far as the Gardasil vaccination.... there is no way in you know where that I would even consider giving that to my children.

I agree that Gardisil is a bit new and perhaps spacing out vaccinations is a good idea. I just don't agree with not giving vaccinations at all. That's a good clarification...thanks, PlateletGal.

I spaced my kids' vaccines out as far as possible, within recommended guidelines, and have split some up.  Next on the docket is meningitis for my college-aged teen who is latex allergic -- As I understand, they can special order it with a latex free stopper.  Won't this be interesting with insurance.

Listen people. Kids that don't get immunizations are at risk FROM kids that do. The kids that get the shot CARRY the virus and disease and then give it to the kids that don't!!! Silly ... the reason kids are at risk is because your kids carry it. If kids stayed at home when they were sick they wouldn't get our kids sick. The Scriptures say to quarantine for 7 whole days until you are better. Where does disease come from? Unclean food, unsanitary environments, kids walking around/going to school sick and spreading disease, unhealthy eating (high sugar/processed foods diet), etc. Not letting the ground rest (land) and that brings pestilence, mold, blite, and disease. Using too much antibiotics.
