Older Adults May Be Immune to H1N1

The CDC says people who were exposed to the flu in 1957 may have some immunity to the current H1N1 flu virus. It may explain why this year's strain has mainly affected younger people.

This may not be over yet...In 1918, the Spanish flu (another strain of swine flu) died out for several months, but returned with a vengeance, and by the time it was done, it had killed about 5 million people in less than a year. It had mutated after the first flurry of cases (spring of 1918) after it made a trip to Europe (actually Sweden, I think) and returned to the USA...This fall, after the kids go back to school, or about the time the holidays hit may be the telling...
