The NATIONAL INCONTINENTIA PIGMENTI FOUNDATION, INC. (IPIF) is a nonprofit organization whose main mission is education, family support, and encouraging and supporting research.

Incontinentia Pigmenti is categorized as an orphan disease. The definition is less than 200,000 cases have been identified in the United States. Why support a relatively unknown, rare disorder? There are more than 5,000 orphan diseases affecting some 20 million Americans, and many more worldwide. One out of every 12 people suffers from a rare disorder. Seeking the cure for one frequently provides vital information that applies to others. The only way to make progress is painstakingly to research each disease, one at a time. IPIF strives to take the leadership role in the search for the IP gene. The amount of money needed to fund research is more than IPIF is presently able to raise. By becoming a member and supporting IPIF, you will be helping in this effort. We rely upon contributions from individuals and private and corporate foundations. All funds go directly to research projects, support programs, and office maintenance. It will require much hard and inspired work and a great deal of financial support to realize our goals. We cannot accomplish this without turning to you for help. Please join us by making a contribution, mailing our brochure to your friends with a personal appeal enclosed, or requesting a matching grant from your employer.

Membership is automatic with your contribution.
