Job duties: Work with a team of software developers to build an application platform for a medical assistance website. Develop interactive components, pages, and features for users to track and chart medical information, manage and track health conditions, and view the real-time activity feeds of millions of users. Add and enhance website features, fix defects, and complete ongoing website maintenance projects. Primary development environment includes RoR platform, Linux operating system using MySQL databases, shell scripting, and server-side technologies and architectures, and web content development tools including HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, and CSS.

Director, Advertising Sales
Job Description
MedHelp, a fast-paced health startup is looking for a smart, motivated and creative individual to join our growing team and help take our advertising revenue to the next level.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, goal-oriented, and be passionate about their job.
This position can be based either in San Francisco or New York.
Responsibilities
The Director of Advertising Sales will be responsible for generating digital advertising and sponsorship revenue for MedHelp.org.

Responsibilities include:
  • Reach and exceed sales quotas while contributing to overall team goals.
  • Build strategic partnerships with pharma, healthcare and CPG companies.
  • Develop relationships with national clients and advertising agencies.
  • Forge strong client relationships.
  • Create and deliver compelling sales presentations and sponsorship packages to communicate MedHelp's value proposition.
Requirements and Experience
  • Minimum 4-10 years of online media sales experience, with a proven track record of reaching and exceeding aggressive sales goals and delivering significant revenue and consumer growth.
  • Healthcare and CPG sales experience required. Digital media sales to pharmaceutical and OTC drug manufacturers, medical device companies, CPGs and their marketing agencies is a must.
  • Possess established client contacts and relationships to accelerate revenue growth.
  • Candidate must have experience with both agency and client-direct sales.
  • Creative and strategic thinking skills a must - the position is charged with building strategic, long-term partnerships with major brand marketers. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to develop creative sponsorships and integrated marketing packages that will help brands achieve their strategic goals.
  • Direct experience working with and familiarity of digital media, online marketing technology and social web services.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Candidate must be able to work independently, under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Ability to move fast and thrive in a dynamic, quickly-changing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Ability to explain complex concepts in everyday terms. Top-notch presentation skills.
  • Team player and good sense of humor.
Education
  • BA/BS or its equivalent is required.
