Ad Ops Manager

What you will do:
  • Setup, manage, analyze and optimize ad campaigns
  • Conduct ad inventory and revenue forecasting
  • Manage relationships with partners
  • Capability to perform advanced tasks using Excel to produce intricate reports
  • Support management, sales and product teams with questions related to ad campaign structures, forecasting, and performance
What you bring:
  • 2-4 years professional experience in web/online
  • A background involving digital/web/mobile advertising/media
  • Experience with ad servers and optimization platform (DFP)
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Self-starter with the ability to learn new technology quickly
  • Outstanding time management and organization
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, draw conclusions and summarize information
  • Excellent relationship management, teamwork and communication skills
  • BA/BS degree

Software Development Engineer

Editorial Intern
MedHelp, a fast-paced health startup, is looking for a smart, motivated and Web-savvy writer and editor to join our growing team as editorial intern.
About You
You are an editorial hawk in the making with plenty of talent and drive and some experience to back it up. You think interactively; are fount of ideas; know how to deliver top-notch editorial products; you are equally adept at writing 1,000-word features and 5-word marketing copy; have a knack for bringing out the best in other's writing; and are passionate about health and wellness. Plus, you have experience writing for an online audience and understand some fundamentals like SEO and social media. Others would describe you as detail and deadline-driven, organized, a clear and effective communicator and able to manage multiple projects at once. You are a self-starter and happiest when busy yet can roll with the punches.
About This Position
This is the ideal position for someone who is looking to hone their skills and gain more hands-on experience at a vibrant, growing company. You will help bring stories to life — from ideation to writing and editing to selecting images and building the content on our website. And, being a small company, you will be called upon to lend your skills to other assignments as needed. This is a paid internship that requires a full-time (40 hours per week), minimum 3-month commitment with plenty of opportunity for growth. This position reports to the Editorial Director.
Responsibilities include:
  • Write a variety of types of content, including articles, slideshows and newsletters, and content for mobile apps
  • Write and edit stories on a variety of health and medical topics, from beauty and parenting to cancer and STDs.
  • Assign to and edit stories from doctors and freelancer writers
  • Fact-check assignments from freelancers
  • Post new content on our site
  • Copyedit all new content
  • Think of ways to keep us two steps ahead of the competition — and help create and execute on that
  • Pitch new story ideas
  • Help develop and maintain editorial calendar
  • Help develop editorial packages for advertisers
  • Research and stay current with the latest health information and online trends
  • Promote content through social media tools
  • Work with designers, product developers and engineers on new products and ideas as needed
  • Other writing and editing responsibilities as needed, including press releases and advertising copywriting
Responsibilities include:
  • BA with major in English, Media, Communications, Journalism or the equivalent
  • Prior experience in online publishing
  • Familiarity with HTML and blogging software; content management system experience a plus
  • Passion for health information and helping others feel their best
  • Understanding of best practices for web content including SEO and user experience
  • Comfort with mobile and other new technology
  • Proficient in Google Docs, Microsoft Word and Excel or their equivalents
  • Highly motivated, able to work independently, eager to learn and grow
  • Proven ability to deliver content that's creative, informative and inspiring
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced, highly focused, highly productive environment
