Normal Values

Normal values are as follows:

  • Sodium:
    • Normal: less than 60 mEq/L
    • Abnormal: greater than 90 mEq/L
    • Equivocal: 60 - 90 mEq/L
  • Chloride:
    • Normal: less than 40 mEq/L
    • Abnormal: greater than 60 mEq/L
    • Equivocal: 40 - 60 mEq/L

Note: mEq/L = milliequivalent per liter
