Celebrate January Self-Help Group Month!
Governor Corzine has proclaimed January 2007 as “Self-Help Support Group Awareness Month.” To help increase the awareness of self-help groups and their benefits, see the "Possible Group and Professional Actions" list with ways that groups and professionals can take advantage of the observance. Individuals with self-help group experience can also write a “Letter to the Editor” of their local paper, describing the observance and letting others know of the group(s) and how it benefited them.
