Self-help clearinghouses provide information on local support groups, especially the one-of-a-kind groups that are not affiliated with any national self-help organization. In addition, any of the clearinghouses listed below provide consultation to new and existing groups, training workshops, "how-to" materials for starting and maintaining groups, directories of local groups, and other services of interest to self-help groups.
