The Clearinghouse
has information on over 6,750 self-help group meetings throughout New Jersey.
They cover a broad range of subjects including most illnesses, addictions,
bereavement situations, disabilities, abuse victims, parenting problems, family
issues, and many more. Currently, only the mental health groups are listed
here online.

To find a mental
health group near you, simply click on the type of group that you are looking
for. When you find a group that you are interested in we suggest the following:
- Call the group before you attend to make sure
that the meeting information hasn’t changed.
- When you call a contact person, please be
courteous of what time you are calling--don't call too early in the morning,
or too late at night if you are calling a home phone number.
- Please contact us if you find any incorrect
information.
- Call
us if you can't find an appropriate group. We are always finding out about
new groups.
