contd:
In the UK, doctors are not familiar with bioidentical hrt and say they cannot offer me non bio as estrogen can cause endeometreosis to grow again, also I have a problem with soya and aloe vera which most bio's contain, I also don't
know if I need progesterone and estrogen, as I still have my cervix, my husband put my cycle into a palm computer before
everything was taken and I only have 3 to 4 days in month of feeling normal max!!  please can you advise.
Kind regards

Hi Mary,

Thankyou for responding, I have read many of your responses to people on medihelp, which I have found
very informative, I don't really know where to start with my medical history, but all I know is that at the age
of 37 my health started to spiral downwards.
I had two laparoscopy procedures which confirmed endeometreosis, I then underwent ablation of the uterus, which
helped for about 2 years, symptoms returned, I then had a sub-total hysterectomy again helped for the same length
of time, I was then diagnosed with ovarin cysts which were the size of grapefruits, which were lasered and half an ovary
removed, symptoms returned within a year. My last op was performed in 2005 to remove another huge cyst along with
ovaries, still have my cervix,  no hrt,now really suffering!!

Mary, it's been 1 year 3 momths and the pain is bad in my abdominal even after the operation. I've had adhesion after I gave birth to my daughter in 1981, but they never look for them until years later. This time if feels like I can bend over to even tie my shoe. I still swell later in the day in my abdominal... :(
Well not only do I have pain all over my body, i'm on the premarin, and just had a salvia test done. I did get my results back. Here is what my results showed...

Just seen your comment on blog about weight gain after a full hysterectomy.  You said to stop by your page for more information.  I am all ears!!!!!!!!!  I am finally pain free and cancer free; but now suffer from obesity.  I have tried prescription drugs and only lost 6lbs in 3 months.  I work out, I cut out all bad carbs, I eat small healthy snacks and meals; I desperately need some advice.

Got your note and thanks for the info. My doctor is about my age but doesn't know anything about bioidenticals. I find this amazing for a woman doctor.  I did take a pure progesterone compound for three months but it did nothing for me.  The stuff was quite expensive.

Thank you for all your research which has benefited so many. I have a question for which you may have an answer. I am 67, had a complete hysterectomy 14 years ago. Have taken no hormones since and still experiencing hot flashes as did my grandmother until her death at 94. Yes, it's true. A women's doctor gave a seminar in which she said about 15% of women continue to experience them forever. Oye veh! What would you suggest for someone like me?  Which bioidenticals and where could I get help in Pierce County, WA   Suzette 770   ***@****

Hi Mary,
I just checked back on this website today and saw your note.  I noticed that you lived in Minneapolis....I actually thought I saw you at a Cub Foods not long after I joined this site (based on your profile pictures).  I almost said something to this lady and then I chickened out!

I had my surgery on the 13th and everything went very well.  I'm recovering beautifully so far and I'm so thankful for that.  I did start right away on the Vivelle Dot patch .1 mg.  I have to say it seems to be doing the trick.   I feel wonderful so far.  I do realize that its very early in my recovery and that it may change, but for now I'm very happy.

Thank you again for all of your advice.  I think if you hadn't recommended those books, my situation might be completely different.  :)

Just a quick note to say hi. I am new to the forum and came across your posting and journal about surgical adhesions, and it has really opened my eyes. I posted my symptoms on the forum but I will relate them here also. My hysterectomy was done at 39 and was needed because of huge fibroids, and anemia being caused by the very heavy bleeding. It was done in two parts and on the second surgery I learned that the doctor left a partial ovary behind due to it having become attached to my colon. Could this be from the adhesions? I have never of anything like this before.
Anyway thank you for your time and I look forward to your response.

Just a quick note to say hi!
Hi Mary, very nice to meet you.  Oh, such a horrible week.  I came to this forum back in 2006 when I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer.  This is a wonderful group of amazing women here.    I was always drawn to Becky's story for some reason, she just demonstrated such courage, poor thing.  This disease is just monstrous!! I grew up in Montgomery County myself, Kensington to be exact LOL I know live near Solomons Island in Calvert County.

It's the laying that gets me, after about 2-3 hours I have to get up, I average between the breaks about 5 hours if I'm lucky.  Sometimes its much less.

Mary 53,
Yes, I still follow the sight but I have not added anything as I have gotten no where with doctors.  I went to a new gyn and she said she did not feel anything to make her believe I had scar tissue problems and she said hormones would not make me lame, that he would have had to clipped a nerve and it would have been an immediate problem with walking not several weeks after.  The neurologist I went to said he didn't see anything he could help with, so now they want me to go to a phyciatrist to get on yet another anti-depressant I have been on 3-4 already,  I'm a bit discouraged, I  either have and option to go to a phyciatrist or go back to the first pain management and get my nerves frozen so I won't feel the pain, at least until they re-route themselves.

Hi Mary, OH NO, about your poor toes. I hope they feel better soon. I hope we get together before your surgery to fix them. My darn feet still hurt this a.m. I've had Planter Faciatis (I can't spell that LOL) once before and it isn't any fun. I hope you continue to avoid it - mine is more the top of my feet this time.

I'm home waiting for a plumber. And, that's never a good thing...

Take Care,
Teresa

Hi Mary,  I know you and I haven't talked much, but since Jan's been gone it's hard for me to talk to Jan's friends, but I know she'd want me to help if I can.  I too had a hysterctomy a few years back and was slammed into menopause and went though some of what you are going through now.  So, if you ever want to talk e-mail me and I'll send you my phone number.  Lisa

(cont. again) I know a previously retired ER doctor in Wisconsin who has started a business of blood testing and implanting a custom HRT pellets around the hip or bottom area for women in menopause with great success.  He said his patients' main frustration has been urinary leaking and that this stops that and helps in many other ways. He is too far away for me and has an abrasive personality so I will not go to him.  I will try the Menopause Clinic in St. Paul.  Thanks so much for your help and sharing your experience.  It's so nice to know a fellow Vliet fan.
