Mom's suprise party was FABULOUS. She was just glowing and so very honored to be the guest of honor. It was definitely worth all the work and time it took.

I haven't been on the ovca forum yet..just went to ovcy first. Did you post on the forum? I know Jan just had brutal chemo today and planned to sleep all day. She also has known Marty forever.. I know Jan would want to hear from someone (like you) that has known them for so long.. It really is sad.. Didn't Leslee have small children? So sad.. and the trouble is that there are others that have become quite ill .. seems too many at one time ! Take care, and I'm really sorry..

OMG... I had no idea she was that close although I knew it was expected... How sad for her mother !! I haven't checked the ovca forum yet.. How simply terrible .. I didn't know her at all, but talked to her mom occasionally and know how close they were. Thanks for letting me know,

Just a quick note to say hi!
Yes, I found this forum in 2004 when I was going through my own "cyst crisis."
I did not realize it had been almost a year since I'd stopped by the forum until last night when I logged on again. Wow. Times flies..but, alas, I have not been having fun. My mother was diagnosed last spring with a Stage 3 endometrial cancer. My father is currently undergoing treatment for a detached retina. Needless to add that I have been busy, right??!!! I am just very grateful that my parents moved down the street from me so that I do not have to travel far to their home.
The bad news for me is that the uterine polyps that I had removed in 2006 ( done with a thermal uterine ablation ) are NOW considered a likely precursor to uterine cancer!

Just a quick note to say hi and sorry I have not gotten back to you sooner. I have not been feeling real well and now think I am suffering from allergies due to farmers cutting corn all around me. I hope that Maddie is doing better.

I was just reading your post about the ball rolling and I wanted to ask you what kind of ball did you buy? I am thinking of doing that since my intestinal surgery because I am still having some problems. I would like to just go to WalMart and buy one, but not sure what kind you used. Oh my goodness; thank you so much for welcoming me back. The time just slips by so fast and I had another surgery May 1 (back) that let me walk again! But now have so much back pain (had no back pain before, only excrutiating leg pain that the hysto did not prove to help). Went to one PT that was a disaster so now I have to start my PT all over again to try and correct the abnormal healing. But we truck on, don't we........... Read your profile and I am so sorry for your loss. I truly hope all is o.k. I recently bought my husband a German Shepherd puppy and I'm a first-time dog owner; didn't think I'd like a dog, but I love him very much! So I really feel for you. Be well......... Elizabeth

I am so sorry about Maya. The love you felt for that dog is apparent in all your words. You did all you could and more. Therefore, you should mainly feel peace for her.
