Thanks for the popcycle suggesetion during chemo, I used ice chips throughout my 6 hr chemo treatment. It felt good and I'll find out over the next week if it keeps my mouth sores at a minimal

Thank you Gail, the support means so very much to me. I know what I need to do, and my mind set will get there. As we are all well aware of the emotional roller coaster that starts. It was just like a flash back from 4 1/2 years ago, and it knocked me on my rear, but I am ready to fight and do what needs to get done. I will keep everyone updated and I am sure I will have alot of questions. Thanks - Jane

congrats gail on the 5 year mark. You are a inspiration to us all. Please go out and celerbrate fot all of us. I myself have 3 more years to go, but aia take one day ata time and live every day as best I can. Have fun lol

Thank you for checking on me, I was in the hospital the beginning of this month for a partial intestinal obstruction. Thankfully my treatment was an NG tube (very painful going in and out) and no food or drink for a few days, but no surgery.
My surgeon and oncologist said it's from adhesion and scar tissue from past surgeries.
We restarted Doxil in the hospital since I was on the oncology floor at ST. Peter's New Brunswick, NJ.
He's very concerned about my developing those horrible side effects again, and he has me on a reduced dose of Doxil. I hope it's enough to deal with the cancer. I can see and feel multiple tumors in my pelvic/pubic areas, and they've grown.
That's my update, how are you?

Hey Gail, I keep in touch with Cory and he as you knows lives across the street from the Opry Hotel. He said another 15 ft and he would have had a swimming pool in his living room. Thank God for miracles. By the way those are some hot looking women in that picture. Love Lisa.

Gail, glad to hear you are doing well. I miss you guys and I hate not being on the computer to catch up on everyone. Shawn sent me a friend request on FB, that was nice. I have read some posting but haven't gotten on much. It takes too much out of me to be on here for long.
Snow! I think I would enjoy it for a short while. We had the coldest winter this year, down in the 20's, not like us at all. I am in in pjs and have the heat on because I can't get warm. I bet the snow is beautiful though. Did John make you a snowman? or snowwoman??

It was incredibly hard to hear about Sharon. I have thought of her so much while recuperating and then to hear about her. Very hard. I use my surgery as a good reason to educated women I talk to about Ovarian Cancer. I do think the word is spreading and hopefully, we will start soon to see more about it on the news, talk shows, etc.

I'm still doing avastin/cytoxin here in Austin but am looking at some targeted therapy phase trials at MDA and feel that soon I'll be spending some serious time (ie. apartment there) in Houston. I'm sorry that I've not been on the site as much as I should have been but trying to keep up the fight.

I am glad that you finally got a diagnosis. I swear sometimes....doctors, ER's....it is so frustrating. But glad that you are on the mend now and I do too pray that 2010 will find us all healthy and happy! Tell Shawn hello for me too. I think of you all often and would love to get together again sometime!

Just checking in with you Gail to see how your Christmas went and how you are feeling? Hope that you and John had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed the time spent together.
My oldest son surprised me by coming home for Christmas from CA, so it was the best ever for me. I miss him - he left yesterday!
