Happy New Year! May this be the year the heals our kids!
A happy New Year HUG for you! I hope it's a great year for Whitney, you and all your family!
We are going to look into the Ronald McDonald House when we get there. Overall, we will be there 4.5 weeks. The first week of October and then the third week of October through 1st week of November. Still no teacher for Cody, he is all over the place, exhausted but not feeling too bad, then the next day feeling horrible but awake.
We will be seeing Dr Philip Fischer, diagnostician at Mayo. He has a youtube video about POTS. He was the very first doctor I contacted after Cody was diagnosed. He referred us to Dr Chelimsky in Cleveland though. He squeezed us in, thank goodness, he usually has a 15 month wait, that's why I like to try to find a doctors email and contact them directly.
Hi! How are you and Whitney doing today?
Did she have another appointment for this week? I think about Whitney almost daily. I hope the docs get her pain under control soon!
I hope you both have a good day.
I have been thinking about you and Whitney all day. I know you are still in St. Louis, but I wanted to send you good wishes while I have the computer.
I hope everything goes well for Whitney today.
Cody does want to attend school, but at this point I seriously doubt a full day will happen. I would be grateful for 3 classes in school and 3 on line.
Sorry you have to find yet another doctor. I have a print out that I typed up listing all of the doctors names and phone numbers for an easy reference guide. I can't believe how many there are/have been.
I just got done water jogging with Cody. I am exhausted. It is the first time I've been in the pool in 2 years. I was barely able to get my swim suit on, and definitely wouldn't wear it in public. I was weeding in the yard and was so hot, I didn't care what it looked like.
Cody is doing about the same. His sleep is waaay messed up. He slept until 5 or 6 pm Fri/Sat/Sun, since he is up all night. Then, he was up at 5 am this morning, since the melatonin I gave him last night worked. His blood pressure is still high. We leave for Cleveland Wednesday morning.
How is Whitney? Has her 'shocking' pain subsided at all? What is the outcome of the Lyme disease test?
We had to go to a birthday party for my nephew today. Cody again played wiffle ball, the heat did him in. He had to come inside and put an ice pack on his neck and wipe down with a cool wash cloth. He's doing okay now, but we'll see what the next couple of days brings him. My nephew so wanted Cody to spend the night, but he just wasn't up for it (plus Cody, being 15, wasn't in the mood to hang out with a group of 11 and 12 year old boys).
I hope the biopsy goes okay and is not painful. I have no idea what it entails, so hopefully it is not too bad of a test to go through. Let me know how that goes and how they do it.
I woke up this morning thinking about your sweet daughter. I read her caringbridge report and am sorry to hear that she's having a rough day. What a hard, hard thing for a little girl. I'll be praying she gets some relief.
Happy Mothers Day to you too! I hope your daughter is well enough to share it with you.
