Thank you for responding to my question. I'm glad someone wrote me back that can relate to how I was feeling...it was just awful. As I said, I've had severe panic attacks as a child but because I've been lucky enough to not have one single anxiety/panic attack for many many years now, I think when this one hit me yesterday and because I was no longer use to experiencing them....it really did a little number on me. Today, surprisingly, I feel wonderful in spite of being up all night with insomnia....I'm happy to report that my heart did not beat fast or crazy at all during the night....maybe these nighttime episodes are leaving. I'm under a lot of emotional stress right now so this may be the reason (along with these hormones) that I've been having so much trouble. Thank you again.
