I just wanted to let you know that my 4wk viral load was undetectable. It has been a wild ride but I'm almost through my 6th week and now that I know I only have 6 more weeks on incivek, I can make it. I thought that I had to take the incivek for the whole 48 weeks and not just 12. I saw my doctor yesterday and found out I was undetectable and that I only had six weeks to go and I was happier than I've been since I started. Thanks for your encouragement and suggestions.

I'm in my second day, got through my first injection with less trouble than I remember from before, but what troubles me is my total lack of appetite. That's just never happened to me before. I have a little dry mouth, but mostly I just don't want to swallow another bite. Any thoughts?

Thanks Chris, and my wife thanks you for the comments about keeping my mouth shut:) I do tend to get irritable and shoot my mouth off when I shouldn't. I've promised myself I'll work on that. I hope all is well with you. I've taken rib/incivek this morning so the die is cast. Thanks again for the note.

Well, here I am two weeks later and finally got everything together. I'm starting my treatment tomorrow. I hope to settle into a routine now. Wish me luck. (It never hurts to be lucky:) Garry

Hey Buddy!! Doing great, almost at that 6 month point, should get the all clear next month. Glad you're sticking around, too. I think it's pretty comforting to the people that are new to the tx rollercoaster! - H.

Thanks for the note. I'm hoping to get started by next week. We'll see. It took my doctor's people two weeks to fax in my prescriptions. Go figure? Ok, so I'm a little testy with them now. I know things work out like they're supposed to, but some times it's hard to accept that. Having said that, I'm doing okay. I bought some immodium the other day. Have psilium fiber on hand. Found some Zofran chewables up in the cupboard my oral surgeon gave me that hasn't gone out of date and have a couple big bottles of Gold bond lotion, so I'm ready for all this. I'm just so happy that I don't have to work this time while I'm trying to do this. I love retirement on so many levels. Talk to you soon.

Just a note. I can use all the friends on this site I can get. I've had a 6 month series of interferon/ribabirin and a 12 mon series of peg/rib and relapsed both times. This time is triple treatment with incivek. You'll be hearing from me. Garry

I love old 8mm ! And the picture I posted is old ! LOL I think I was only 5 years old there , which was 44 years ago, I would be the one with the dark curly hair with my blond brother and cousins. I love the oldies, and that should be something I should do is dig all that stuff out right now while Im in the house alot ! Memories :)
