Ya know, it took me awhile, but I now realize....the reason my BP is low is BECAUSE of the meds : ( BLEH! Hope you're birthday is nice!

Just a quick note to say Happy Birthday!!! (a little early, but I didn't want to forget...that happens sometimes at my age...LOL) Guess what?! My "plan" to negotiate lowering the dose of my ACE bombed! I skipped my ACE the day before my appt and the morning of my appt. I've been having such great BPs, I thought for sure it was time to dump the ACE. WRONG!! My BP was 140/80! GRRR!! I did ask about taking less in the summer since my BP goes low enough that I feel sluggish....Doctor said, "We'll talk about that next summer." So, maybe......

Hi Irene, thanks for the note, I'm still really sore and tired, but hopefully in a few days it will all subside a bit. I really didn't expect to have both ovaries and tubes removed but it needed to be done. How are you doing these days, I hope your feeling better and your Mom's doing better too. I know this is still a rough time for you. How are you holding up? How is your mom? Maybe this is a good time to forge a new relationship with her. Sorry I haven't been around. Were you referring to the steroid post? I have really about had it with these Drs. They insist on these protocols, but obviously they are not necessary for everyone. I can't for the life of me figure out why they would want to put more meds in us that have such horrendous side effects. Aren't chemo drugs enough? Look at those people who said they didn't take it and all was fine. I wonder about the studies that supposedly showed you needed Decadron. Not a big guess on who sponsored that study!!!! I have decided not to have anymore chemo without ED. As long as I am NED I ain't gonna do it. love ya, jan

Thank you for everything! You asked if I am on any medication, I am supposed to take Flecainide, but it had terrible side effects and I don't take it anymore. Since I have already a pretty low blood pressure (except when I have my turns), it made my blood pressure drop to a dangerously low level and I nearly passsed out in the shopping centre. Ended up in hospital on the monitor for two days. Found that if I exercise daily (working up a good sweat with mowing or gardening etc.) I seem to feel better. My last episode lasted almost 4 days non stop, after exercising for two weeks now I only seem to get a turn 2 or 3 times a day for about 1 hr. If it would stay like that I could live with it. Also meditate every night before I go to sleep to calm my nerves. Have you tried any of this?

I didn't post......never seemed to have much to contribute.......and You and Tony, Maggie, Bet, Seldom and others had so much personal experience to share you about covered everything.....and Sue of course although many of her posts made me cringe......It seems kinda strange how one can develope such fondness for people one never meets......so, I'm glad you and Tony and Mag still visit MedHelp......I was getting a liottle worried about Tony, til he showed up recently.........I didn't realize your Dad had cancer.....I'm so sorry about that.......He looks like such a nice fellow......thanks again......I'm Lucy..........
